Beginning today, all PC users will be able to freely download, install and launch the game without charge. Available free content includes the base game and all expansions up to and including EverQuest II Sentinel's Fate(®) as well as the brand new Freeport Reborn game update. The game's eighth overall expansion - Age of Discovery - is also now available for purchase as a digital download, and introduces the fan-favorite Beastlord class and Dungeon Maker feature!
Guild Wars charges $10 for a character slot, too. But I'm fine with it in Guild Wars, because things like that are instead of a monthly fee. $10 per character slot on top of a monthly fee is ridiculous, though. You can get a free character slot at the end of the month, and $10 (1200 coins) and you can buy a new character slot aswell as some goodies. Or spend the $20 and get the begineers package, and spend more money on more character slots.

- Silver – Any player who purchases the Silver Upgrade token for 500 Station Cash (or $5 USD) will have fewer restrictions than 'free' users. This level does not expire and includes all of the Free membership features plus additional features including character slots, bag slots, spell tiers, unlimited chat options and more.
- Gold – Gold membership is available for $14.99 USD per month and provides access to 16 classes, 15 races, seven character slots, six bag slots per character, access to Legendary and Fabled equipment, and more.

Wanted to give a little tip to the multiboxers that play and have played EQ1/EQ2 in the past. If you ever registered for LON in the past, you have free card decks waiting for you for every month since you last played LON. I registered for LON about 6 years ago but i never played.

Just click on Loot Cards next to the card sets to view what there is. You can claim cards in either EQ2 or EQ1. If you never registered you should do it now so your decks will start accumilating till you decide to use them. I've only opened 2 decks so far on all my accounts and gotten awesome mounts for all my guys, the fast mounts cost 100kpp in game, so these are free and you can't beat that. Good Luck
